Universal Pictures has unveiled new official images from Christopher Nolan’s much-anticipated film, The Odyssey. These latest photos spotlight Anne Hathaway as Queen Penelope and Tom Holland as their son Telemachus. Released on November 14, 2025, the images follow the initial reveal that showcased Matt Damon in the role of Odysseus along with some of his crew.

In addition to Hathaway and Holland, one of the photos features Mia Goth as Melantho, one of Penelope’s maids. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, and Lupita Nyong’o, among others.

Nolan confirmed in an interview with Empire Magazine that The Odyssey will be the first feature film shot entirely using IMAX film cameras. He humorously noted, “I did not destroy an IMAX camera on this film. I have destroyed several in my time, but these ones survived The Odyssey.” This unique filming approach is expected to enhance the visual experience of the film, which opens in cinemas on July 17, 2025.

The release of these images is part of a strategy to build anticipation leading up to the film’s first trailer. It is expected that footage will be attached to all IMAX copies of the upcoming film Avatar: Fire and Ash.

As fans eagerly await more news and insights into this epic retelling of the classic tale, the combination of Nolan’s direction and a remarkable cast sets high expectations for The Odyssey. With its release date approaching, the excitement surrounding this adaptation continues to grow.
