22 Medical Conditions Qualify for Up to £200 Weekly Support

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has identified 22 medical conditions that qualify individuals in the United Kingdom for the Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). This financial assistance is aimed at supporting those who are unable to work or can only engage in limited work due to health issues or disabilities. The ESA can provide recipients with up to £200 per week, depending on their circumstances.

As of April 2023, the ESA rates increased by 1.7 percent, aligning with the inflation rate recorded in September of the previous year, according to Birmingham Live. This adjustment reflects the DWP’s ongoing effort to provide adequate support in a changing economic landscape.

10. **Diseases of the Digestive System** – 22,012 cases
11. **Congenital Malformations, Deformations and Chromosomal Abnormalities** – 19,956 cases
