Bridgwater Carnival 2025 Shines with Creative Floats and Awards
The Bridgwater Carnival 2025 dazzled attendees with a vibrant display of lights, music, and artistic floats, culminating in a celebration of imaginative talent on the streets of Bridgwater, UK. The Ramblers Carnival Club emerged as the standout winner, securing the top position in the Local Feature Mounted category with their poignant tribute to the 1912 coal strikes. Their entry not only impressed the judges but also garnered multiple special awards, highlighting the creativity and dedication of the participants.
The Ramblers’ float captivated audiences and received accolades for Best Decorated Towing Vehicle, Best Lighting (Local), Most Original Entry, and Best Decorated Generator. Additionally, they clinched first place in both the Hardy Spicer and Lions International Championship Cups for local entries, underscoring their dominance in this year’s competition.
In the Open Feature Mounted category, the Harlequin Carnival Club took home the top prize with their frosty-themed spectacle, showcasing their innovative design. Meanwhile, the Huckyduck Carnival Club triumphed in the Open Tableaux category, presenting a vibrant float that also earned them the title of Best Dressed Towing Vehicle Driver.
The competition also featured an impressive array of juvenile entries, with the Hillview Junior Carnival Club winning first place in the Juvenile Cart category. Their creative presentation was a highlight of the event, while the Just Ed Carnival Club charmed spectators in the Single Juvenile Masquerader class.
The achievements did not stop there. The Globe Carnival Club secured second place in the Open Feature Mounted class, earning recognition for Best Costume. The Pentathlon Carnival Club followed closely with a second-place finish in the Open Tableaux class. Additionally, Wilfs Carnival Club was awarded Best Local Entry in the Adult Masqueraders category, showcasing their playful performance.
The Bridgwater Carnival continues to be a platform for creative expression, bringing together various clubs and communities to celebrate their artistic talents. A full list of winners across all categories was published following the event, reflecting the diverse range of creativity on display during this year’s carnival.
