The management of Bijelo Polje General Hospital has announced that gynaecological laparoscopic surgeries and treatment options are now available to the local community. This enhancement in healthcare services comes after significant investments in technical and technological equipment, overseen by the hospital’s administration, led by Dr. Kenan Erović. The first laparoscopic procedures have already commenced at the facility.

Under the guidance of Dr. Mališa Leković, head of surgery, and Dr. Magdalena Leković, head of obstetrics, the medical team has successfully performed initial laparoscopic interventions on various gynaecological conditions. These procedures include the treatment of ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancies, benign tumors, pelvic infections, abscesses, and sterilizations, alongside other minimally invasive gynaecological procedures.

The anesthesia support was provided by a skilled team, including Dr. Kenan Erović, Dr. Ranko Čaković, with assistance from Dr. Milivoje Stijović. The surgical instruments were managed by Balša Rakočević, Danijela Gvozdenović, and Maida Čoković, while Denisa Hadrović and Ivana Kljajević served as anesthetists during these procedures.

This advancement in surgical options has significantly benefited patients, all of whom have shown rapid recovery.
