TV and radio presenter Jordan North has officially joined the ranks of millionaires following his recent appointment as the host of Capital’s breakfast show. North took over the role in April 2024, succeeding Roman Kemp and joining co-hosts Sian Welby and Chris Stark.

New financial data released by Companies House for North’s production company, Vicious Vera Productions, reveals significant profits linked to his hosting position and other ventures. The company’s reserves have increased dramatically, rising from £394,636 to over £1 million in the financial year ending March 31, 2025. Additionally, the business’s current assets saw a remarkable boost from £522,652 to nearly £1.5 million within the same period.

Beyond his role on Capital Breakfast, North is also known for co-presenting the popular podcast Help I Sexted My Boss alongside William Hanson. He established Vicious Vera Productions in February 2022, with the business registered at an accountancy firm located in Wigan.

Global’s Financial Outlook and Industry Context

While North’s financial success marks a personal milestone, his employer, Global, is set to disclose its latest financial accounts shortly. In the previous reporting period, which concluded on March 31, 2024, Global reported a pre-tax loss of £120.3 million. This followed a staggering loss of £101.1 million the year before, accumulating nearly £700 million in losses since the company last reported a pre-tax profit of £25.1 million in the year to March 31, 2018.

Despite these challenges, Global’s revenue demonstrated growth. For the financial year ending March 31, 2024, total revenue climbed from £806.1 million to £858.1 million. This included a rise in audio revenue, which increased from £426.1 million to £432.2 million, and a notable surge in outdoor advertising sales, which jumped from £379.9 million to £425.9 million.

In the UK, Global’s sales went up from £673 million to £699.2 million, while sales in Europe rose significantly from £88.6 million to £114.8 million. However, the company’s revenue in North America experienced a slight decline, decreasing from £44.4 million to £44 million.

As North enjoys his newfound status, the broader implications of Global’s financial performance will be closely watched, particularly as it navigates the challenges of the broadcasting landscape.
