Family Raises Over £6,000 for Air Ambulance NI at Scarva Event
Generous contributions from attendees at the annual Sham Fight celebration in Scarva have enabled a local family to raise over £6,000 for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland. This fundraising effort took place during the Royal Black Institution’s demonstration, which attracted a large crowd eager to support the cause.
The Royal Black Institution hosted the Sham Fight on August 26, 2023, a traditional event that not only showcases cultural heritage but also serves as a platform for charitable endeavors. This year, the family at the forefront of the fundraising initiative was deeply moved by the commitment of the community and the visitors who turned out in support.
Local families, organizations, and individuals contributed to the total raised through various donations. Many attendees expressed their appreciation for the vital services provided by Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, which plays a critical role in emergency medical situations across the region.
According to the family involved, the support received exceeded their expectations. “We are incredibly grateful for the generosity shown by everyone who attended,” said a family spokesperson. “The funds will make a significant difference in ensuring that the air ambulance service can continue to operate and assist those in need.”
The funds collected during the event will go towards ensuring that Air Ambulance Northern Ireland can maintain its operational capabilities, which are essential for timely medical interventions. The organization is known for providing rapid response to emergencies, significantly improving patient outcomes.
As the community comes together to support such initiatives, events like the Sham Fight not only highlight cultural traditions but also foster a spirit of solidarity and compassion among residents and visitors alike. The success of this year’s fundraising effort is a testament to the power of community-driven initiatives.
The Royal Black Institution’s annual event serves as a reminder of the potential impact that collective action can have in addressing pressing needs within society. As the family celebrates their achievement, they also hope to inspire others to contribute to local causes, reinforcing the importance of community support for essential services like those provided by Air Ambulance Northern Ireland.
