The Montenegro Tax Administration will implement a new Integrated Revenue Management System (IRMS) starting on January 12, 2026. This transition is part of the ongoing project aimed at reforming the tax administration in Montenegro. The new system is expected to enhance operational efficiency and improve services for taxpayers.

As part of the transition, the Tax Administration will accept submissions from clients, requests, and documentation through the current system until 11:00 on December 31, 2025. After this time, the CRPS and TAXIS portals will cease operations. Taxpayers will be able to access the new portal at https://irms.tax.gov.me/ once the system goes live.

To facilitate a smooth transition, the Tax Administration has announced that IOPPD reports and VAT declarations for the accounting period of December 2025 will be accepted beyond the usual deadline. These submissions will be considered timely if filed by January 30, 2026. It is important to note that this extension only applies to the submission of reports and does not affect the legal deadline for the payment of tax obligations.

From December 31, 2025, until the new system launches on January 12, 2026, Tax Administration officials will collaborate with the system’s developers to prepare for the operational deployment of the new platform and to migrate data effectively. This period will be crucial for ensuring that the transition does not disrupt services for taxpayers.

The implementation of the IRMS represents a significant step forward for the Montenegro Tax Administration, reflecting its commitment to modernizing tax processes and improving the overall taxpayer experience.
