Woman Aims to Earn £10,000 Reselling TK Maxx Bargains
A woman named Heather is on track to make £10,000 this year by reselling bargains from TK Maxx, sharing her insights on social media about which brands to buy for maximum profit. Her goal is to earn an average of £27 per day throughout January, a strategy she hopes will sustain her earnings through the rest of the year.
Heather’s approach has transformed her passion for reselling into a successful side business. She emphasizes the importance of knowing what to look for, detailing specific brands that consistently sell well. One of her top recommendations is the clothing brand Folk, known for its high-quality materials and sustainability. While Folk trousers retail for upwards of £140, Heather often finds them at TK Maxx for around £29.99. She reports making a profit by selling these items for at least £35 on platforms such as Vinted.
In a recent TikTok video, Heather stated, “When I spot that brand, I’m grabbing whatever I can carry!” She enjoys keeping her inventory moving quickly, often accepting reasonable offers to facilitate sales. “I could squeeze more out of each item, but I prefer to move them fast and make £5 to £10 a piece,” she explained.
Identifying Profitable Brands
Heather has also identified other brands that are worth monitoring during her shopping trips. She frequently looks for Cos, The Kooples, Reiss, Sweaty Betty, and Varley. In another TikTok post, she showcased a green jacket from The Kooples, which she purchased for £7 and sold for £40. Additionally, she managed to buy a pair of Sweaty Betty leggings, originally priced at £95, for just £12.
Heather encourages aspiring resellers to explore not only the main sections of TK Maxx but also the clearance racks, where even deeper discounts can be found. “You can’t make money reselling clothes from TK Maxx,” she notes, referring to skepticism she often encounters. “But if you know what to look for and do your research, there’s definitely profit to be made.”
Building a Community
Heather’s social media presence has allowed her to share her journey and connect with others interested in reselling. Her followers appreciate her practical advice and the transparency she brings to her business model. By sharing her experiences and the brands that work for her, she empowers others to explore similar ventures.
As Heather continues her challenge through January, she remains optimistic about reaching her financial goal. With her strategic approach and identified brands, she demonstrates that with the right knowledge and tools, reselling can be a lucrative side hustle.
