Young Man Charged After Assault Leaves Victim Injured in Tivat

A physical assault on the Pine Promenade in Tivat on January 1, 2026, has led to the charging of a twenty-year-old man identified as L.R.. The incident occurred just after midnight and resulted in significant injuries to the victim, who sustained a fractured nose.

According to the Tivat Police Department, the assault unfolded without any prior confrontation. At approximately 02:00, L.R., reportedly under the influence of alcohol, attacked an individual without warning. The police statement detailed that L.R. struck the victim in the head, causing him to fall to the ground. While the victim was down, L.R. continued the assault with another blow to the same area.

The Regional Security Centre “South” conducted thorough investigations following the incident, which left the victim with serious bodily harm. The police collaborated with the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Kotor, which classified the incident as a case of serious bodily injury.
