Kaluđerović Urges Citizens to Vote Responsibly in Upcoming Referendum
Slađana Kaluđerović, a member of the Socialist People’s Party (SNP) and an advocate for her community, emphasized the significance of the upcoming referendum in Montenegro. In her recent statement, she declared that this referendum transcends political implications; it is fundamentally a matter of conscience and community responsibility.
Kaluđerović articulated her deep connection to Zeta, describing it not merely as a location but as a home and heritage. She stated, “Zeta is a legacy we inherited from our ancestors, and it is our duty to preserve it for future generations.” Her remarks highlight the enduring importance of cultural identity and historical continuity in the region.
The upcoming referendum, according to Kaluđerović, is about much more than just political choices. “This is a question of our relationship with our homeland and the generations that will follow us,” she noted. She urged the citizens of Zeta to participate actively in the voting process, framing their decision as a reflection of their commitment to the community’s future.
Kaluđerović expressed that the referendum requires citizens to take a stand, asserting, “We are being asked to believe and to take risks. But Zeta is not a field for experiments, nor is it a place for hasty decisions. These are our lives, our families, and our future.” She called on the residents to vote against any measures that could jeopardize their home, emphasizing that this choice should stem from a place of responsibility rather than defiance.
“Our decisions should not be driven by whim, but by concern for our children’s health,” she continued. “We must act out of love for our homeland and respect for the traditions that have taught us to defend our home through action, not silence.”
Kaluđerović made a strong plea for a cleaner, healthier, and safer Zeta, insisting that a vote against certain proposals does not equate to a vote against development. Instead, it represents a desire for wiser, healthier, and fairer solutions. She reiterated that the residents of Zeta are not voting against progress; they are voting for a vibrant, thriving community where children can grow up without fear.
In concluding her remarks, she stated, “Let the voice of Zeta be heard clearly and loudly during the referendum.” This call to action resonates with many in the region, reflecting a collective commitment to preserving their heritage and ensuring a better future for subsequent generations.
