New Owners Set to Revitalize The Dragoon Inn After Five-Year Closure
After being closed for five years, The Dragoon Inn in Brampton is set to reopen under new ownership. The community pub, which has remained shuttered since July 2020, has been acquired by Vijay Sharma and Dr. Sravya, who are committed to revitalizing the venue and returning it to its former glory.
The new tenants plan to create an inviting atmosphere for local residents, emphasizing high-quality food and beverages. The menu is expected to feature a combination of classic pub dishes alongside Indian and Nepalese-inspired cuisine, reflecting the diverse culinary influences of its owners.
Vijay Sharma expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, “We are really excited to be bringing The Dragoon Inn back to life. Our aim is to create a warm and welcoming space for the Brampton community, offering a unique mix of classic pub favorites alongside Indian and Nepalese-inspired dishes. It’s a beautiful venue with a lot of history, and we’re proud to be part of its next chapter.”
The sale was facilitated by Hugo Fairbanks Weston, a Business Agent at Christie & Co, who noted the significance of reopening a pub that has been closed for such an extended period. “It is great to be involved in the reopening of a pub which has been closed for five years. Thanks to a proactive vendor and keen buyers, we reached completion within 12 weeks of agreeing the deal. The market is active, and we are seeing demand for all kinds of hospitality opportunities in the region such as this,” Weston remarked.
The Dragoon Inn, situated in a picturesque village setting, holds a special place in the hearts of the local community. Its reopening promises not only to restore a social hub but also to enhance the dining options available in Brampton. As preparations for the reopening progress, many residents are expressing anticipation for the return of this beloved establishment.
With the combination of traditional pub offerings and innovative culinary styles, The Dragoon Inn aims to attract both loyal patrons and newcomers alike, fostering a sense of community and connection. As the pub gears up for its grand reopening, the efforts of Sharma and Dr. Sravya signal a positive step toward rejuvenating Brampton’s local hospitality scene.
