Police officials from the Regional Center for Security “North” have filed criminal charges against one legal entity and two individuals in Bijelo Polje, Montenegro, following an investigation into alleged economic crimes. The charges are related to the *forgery of documents* aimed at securing subsidies for individuals with disabilities.

According to the Police Directorate, the legal entity in question, “S.B.D.” Ltd., along with its responsible officer, D.K., and individual B.M., are suspected of falsifying tax and contribution certificates. These documents were reportedly submitted as part of a request for subsidies from the Employment Bureau of Montenegro’s Fund for Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities.

Ongoing Commitment to Combat Economic Crime

The police have emphasized their ongoing commitment to addressing economic crime and other forms of criminal activity. In a statement, they noted, “The suppression of economic crime, as well as all other forms of crime, will continue to be a focus for the officers of the Regional Center for Security ‘North’ to create a safer environment for our citizens.”

This case reflects broader efforts by authorities in Montenegro to strengthen the integrity of subsidy programs and ensure that benefits are allocated only to those who meet eligibility criteria. By pursuing legal action against individuals and businesses suspected of fraudulent activities, law enforcement agencies aim to deter similar offenses in the future.

The investigation underscores the importance of transparency and accountability in governmental support systems, particularly those designed to assist vulnerable populations. As officials move forward with the case, further details regarding the alleged forgery and the legal proceedings are expected to emerge.

The Regional Center for Security “North” continues to encourage citizens to report any suspicious activities that may undermine economic stability and fairness within the community.
