“It’s changed a lot, and the substitutions you’re making sometimes are forced again,” he remarked. “There’s no point moaning about it; we’ve just got to get on with it.”

Khumbeni, who had not seen much action this season, stepped up when called upon. Dobson had previously informed him about being excluded from the squad, which disappointed the young player. “Football changes so quickly,” he acknowledged, highlighting the importance of readiness.

Despite the setbacks, Dobson expressed confidence in backup goalkeeper Jake Turner, who has trained well in Morris’s absence. “This is his moment, this is his chance,” Dobson stated. “He’s going to have a run of games now, and it’s up to him to show everybody what he’s all about.”
