In a dramatic match on October 25, 2023, Igalo halted Kom’s unbeaten run in the Montenegrin Second Football League with a thrilling 2-1 victory. This match concluded the 19th round of the autumn season, although two postponed matches will finalize the first half of the season on Wednesday, featuring Iskra against Otrant and Rudar facing Podgorica.

Igalo’s win marked a significant moment as they ended Kom’s impressive streak of nine matches without a loss. The home team took the lead in the 15th minute after a critical error from Kom’s goalkeeper, Ozava. Jovan Vujović delivered a precise assist to Pavle Pićurić, who easily found the back of the net, putting Igalo ahead 1-0. Despite this early setback, Kom demonstrated resilience and managed to equalize before halftime. In the 38th minute, Taisija Oicu scored from a corner kick, leveling the game at 1-1.

The second half saw Igalo quickly assert their dominance again. Nikola Košac made a powerful run down the left flank and delivered a low cross to Nihad Balić, who scored in the 48th minute. This goal would prove crucial, securing a vital win for Igalo.

In another match, Iskra and Berane played to an exhilarating 2-2 draw. Berane initially took the lead in the 25th minute through a goal by Srđan Bošković. It seemed that Berane was on track for a comfortable victory, but Iskra staged a remarkable comeback with two goals from Sava Milić in the 59th and 84th minutes.

The drama continued into the final moments when Vladimir Popović was fouled in the penalty area, prompting referee Luka Pejović to award a penalty. Bošković stepped up again and converted successfully, finalizing the score at 2-2.

The results from the round included:
– Podgorica defeated Lovćen 1-0.
– Grbalj triumphed over Rudar 2-1.
– Otrant Olimpik bested Internacional 2-1.
– Igalo overcame Kom 2-1.
– Iskra and Berane concluded their match in a 2-2 draw.

As the league standings reflect, Otrant leads the table with 38 points from 18 matches, followed by Grbalj with 36 points from 19 matches and Kom with 33 points also from 19 matches. Igalo sits in eighth place with 20 points, indicating room for improvement in the upcoming matches.

This round of fixtures not only showcased individual talents but also highlighted the competitive spirit of the Montenegrin Second Football League, making for an exciting season ahead.
