Luka Radović Set to Shine with “Pjevaj Vilo” at Montesong 2024

Montenegro’s acclaimed singer, Luka Radović, is preparing to showcase his talent at the upcoming Montesong festival on December 21, 2024. Scheduled to perform as the 14th act, Radović sees this participation as a significant milestone in his career. This marks his second appearance at the festival, where he previously represented Montenegro with the song “Kada dođe maj.” This time, he will introduce his new track, “Pjevaj vilo,” for which he is credited with both music and lyrics.

Radović describes “Pjevaj vilo” as a song filled with energy and hope, designed to uplift listeners and reconnect them with their roots. In a recent statement to Montenegrin media, he emphasized the song’s symbolic nature. “It takes us back to all the hardships that my country and the surrounding region have endured. The Balkan area is truly a phoenix,” he expressed, highlighting the resilience of the people.

The singer anticipates that the audience will recognize the quality of his new song. According to him, it has already gained popularity and is expected to receive votes from fans. “Feedback on various international platforms has been positive, even though the 7/8 rhythm might be unfamiliar to Western audiences. However, the surprising shift from 7/8 to 4/4 rhythm captivates even the skeptics,” Radović stated with confidence.

Looking ahead, Radović believes that “Pjevaj vilo” has the potential to be a strong contender if selected for the Eurovision Song Contest. He noted that the song tells a vivid and visual story which could resonate well on a larger stage. “Even though it carries an ethnic sound and is not of modern character, this is precisely why it encourages people to reconnect with their roots, even if just through this number,” he explained.
