Montenegro Volleyball Federation Names Top Players of 2025 Season
The Volleyball Federation of Montenegro has announced its selections for the best players of the 2025 season, recognizing outstanding achievements in both domestic and international competitions. The awards ceremony is scheduled for December 29, 2025, at the VOCO Podgorica hotel.
In the women’s category, Melisa Cenović from Herceg Novi has been named the best player, while Rastko Milenković from Budućnost Volley received the accolade for the men’s category. Cenović played a pivotal role in helping her team defend their double crown in the national championship, and she is also a member of the senior national team that secured its first-ever qualification for the European Championship. Milenković, after winning the double crown with Budva last season, transitioned to Budućnost, where he helped the team clinch the Super Cup against his former club.
In the international arena, Saška Đurović, a middle blocker with Porto, was honored as the best female player abroad. She had a successful season, winning the Super Cup in Portugal and reaching the semifinals of the local league playoffs while being a consistent member of the national team that qualified for the European Championship.
The award for the best male player abroad went to Vojin Ćaćić, a receiver for the German team Friedrichshafen. Last season, he achieved a double crown with the Ukrainian team Epicenter.
Young talents were also recognized, with Anastasija Koprivica and Vuk Stanojević receiving accolades as the most promising players of the year. Koprivica, who played for Morača last season, joined Budućnost this year and participated in preparations for the senior national team ahead of the European Championship qualifiers. Stanojević contributed to Budva’s double crown victory and excelled as the best receiver in the junior championship, making his debut on the senior national team at just 16 years old.
The best women’s coach award went to Luka Bogojević, who guided Budućnost to the playoffs finals and led the youth teams to national titles. In the men’s category, Miljan Bošković, the coach of Budva, was recognized for securing the double crown, along with championship titles in the cadet and junior divisions.
The Volleyball Federation of Montenegro continues to celebrate the accomplishments of its athletes and coaches, highlighting a season filled with remarkable performances and historical milestones.
