The accolades for 2025 were not limited to Mikulic alone. In the women’s category, Helena Backovic from Omladinac was recognized as the best competitor. In the kata discipline, Vlado Mijacic and Katarina Vlahovic, both from Bar and Iskra respectively, took top honors.

Among younger athletes, Vuk Vucinic and Una Rakovic, both representing Omladinac, were named the best competitors in their category. This highlights the depth of talent in the country’s karate scene.

The title of best karate club in Montenegro was awarded to Omladinac, reflecting its strong performance across various categories. Additionally, the recognition for the top coaches of the year went to Almir Cehunjanin from Bar and Nenad Vojinovic from Iskra Podgorica, who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill in training their athletes.

Furthermore, the prestigious “Zlatna plaketa karate sporta” award for this year was presented to former national team member Mario Hodzic, who has an impressive record of multiple European and world medals. His achievements continue to inspire current and future generations of karateka in Montenegro.
