Pathology Center Receives €96,300 in Advanced Lab Equipment

The Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) has enhanced its capabilities with a significant donation from Lob d.o.o., a local company based in Podgorica. The donation, valued at €96,300, includes advanced laboratory equipment essential for pathology services. This equipment comprises a specialized workstation for preparing and distributing materials, a cryostat for ExTempore analyses, and two manual rotary microtomes.

Dr. Đorđije Krnjević, the medical director of KCCG, expressed gratitude for the community’s support. He emphasized the importance of continuous investment in healthcare, stating, “As both a doctor and the medical director, I am proud that Montenegrin society recognizes the importance of our institution, evidenced by frequent donations to the Clinical Center.”

Dr. Krnjević highlighted the critical role of quality pathological diagnosis in patient treatment outcomes. He noted, “The course and outcome of treatment greatly depend on reliable anatomical pathology diagnostics. We are extremely grateful for the donation of modern laboratory equipment to our Pathology Center.” He pointed out that the center conducts approximately 150,000 analyses annually, underlining the necessity for advanced diagnostic tools.

Marko Pajović, the executive director of Lob, conveyed his deep appreciation for healthcare professionals who dedicate their lives to saving others. “It is a great honor to express our sincere gratitude and respect to those who invest their knowledge, time, and energy to save lives and improve the health of citizens in Montenegro,” he stated.

Pajović emphasized the importance of a robust healthcare system as a foundation for any community. He mentioned, “We at Lob firmly believe that the success of any company is not measured solely by financial results but also by its contribution to the society in which it operates.” The donation of the four medical devices to KCCG is a testament to this belief, as Pajović aims to support healthcare professionals in their noble mission.

Doc. Dr. Mirjana Miladinović, director of the Pathology Center, thanked Lob for the valuable donation, highlighting its crucial role in enhancing pathological diagnostics. She explained, “The workstation allows for safe, organized, and controlled material processing, reducing the risk of contamination and errors. The microtomes enable the creation of exceptionally thin and precise tissue sections, vital for accurate microscopic analysis.”

She further elaborated on the importance of the cryostat, which facilitates quick processing of fresh and frozen samples, particularly during urgent intraoperative diagnostic procedures. “This modern equipment significantly improves diagnostic quality, shortens processing times, and enhances work efficiency,” Dr. Miladinović added.

The donation not only supports the team at the Pathology Center but also strengthens the overall health protection framework. It creates better conditions for reliable diagnostics and represents a crucial support for the ongoing development of healthcare services in Montenegro.

In recognition of this generous contribution, Dr. Krnjević presented a certificate of gratitude to Mr. Pajović, reinforcing the partnership between the Clinical Center and local businesses committed to enhancing healthcare in the region.
