Police Arrest 31-Year-Old Montenegrin in Bologna Drug Bust

A 31-year-old man from Montenegro was arrested in Bologna during a police operation targeting drug-related activities. The operation, which took place on March 15, 2024, saw law enforcement apprehend two foreign nationals suspected of drug possession and distribution in the neighbourhoods of Mazzini and Bolognina.

Police officers conducted the arrests as part of a broader initiative to combat narcotics trafficking and enhance territorial control. The first arrest occurred in the afternoon when officers from the Bolognina-Pontevecchio police station executed a search warrant at an apartment on Acer Street in the Mazzini district.

Inside the residence, where the Montenegrin man was living, authorities discovered approximately 670 grams of hashish concealed within a refrigerator. Additionally, they found a precision scale, indicating potential drug distribution activities. Local media reports indicate that the arrested individual has a criminal history related to drug offenses and was previously under supervision by social services as part of a sentence.
