Oceane Dodin, Tennis Pro, Launches Adult Website After Surgery
French tennis player Oceane Dodin has made headlines by becoming the first professional athlete to join an adult entertainment platform shortly after undergoing breast augmentation surgery. The 29-year-old, who turned professional in 2011, reached a career-high singles ranking of 46th in the world and achieved her best major result by reaching the fourth round of the 2024 Australian Open. However, following a significant injury layoff, she has fallen to 744th in the WTA singles rankings.
Dodin’s return to the sport came in late September 2023 after being sidelined for nine months. During her recovery, she made the decision to have breast enlargement surgery, which she announced publicly. “I had breast augmentation surgery. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” she shared in an interview with What’s The Jam. She explained that the timing was ideal, given the necessity for a recovery period from both the surgery and her injury.
Dodin emphasized her satisfaction with the decision, stating, “I’m very happy to have done it, I don’t regret it at all, and it doesn’t bother me.” Her remarks highlight a growing trend among athletes, although many have pursued breast reduction surgeries to enhance performance.
New Ventures in Adult Entertainment
In an unexpected career pivot, Dodin has joined an adult website where her bio reads: “Where tennis meets sensuality.” She has reportedly signed a sponsorship deal with the platform, suggesting that her earnings from this venture could surpass her career earnings of approximately £2.1 million over the past fourteen years as a tennis professional.
Dodin’s bold move has drawn attention not only for its audacity but also for its potential financial implications. Other French tennis players, including Chloe Paquet and Alexandre Müller, have also made accounts on the same platform, alongside notable names like Nick Kyrgios, Pedro Martinez, and Sachia Vickery. This trend signifies a shift in how some athletes view their brand and earning potential beyond traditional sports.
While Dodin’s decision might seem controversial to some, it reflects a growing acceptance of personal choices in the public eye. With athletes increasingly engaging in various entrepreneurial ventures, her journey may pave the way for others in the sports world to explore different avenues for self-expression and income generation.
As the landscape of professional sports continues to evolve, Dodin’s dual identity as both a tennis player and an adult content creator raises questions about the future of personal branding in athletics. Only time will tell how this new chapter in her career unfolds.
