British Businessman Dies in Tragic Motorcycle Accident in Thailand

A tragic motorcycle accident in Chiang Mai, Thailand, has claimed the life of British businessman Craig Davies, aged 50. The incident occurred at approximately 12:20 AM local time when Davies lost control of his KTM 1290 Super Duke motorcycle near an underpass on the Chiang Mai-Lampang Highway. Following the loss of control, he was struck by three vehicles.
Emergency services pronounced Davies dead at the scene. Police Lieutenant Colonel Adulsiri Wongtankard from the Mae Ping Police Station described the crash as “deeply traumatic” for those involved. He expressed condolences to the victim’s family, stating, “I feel sorry for the victim’s relatives. This is a deeply traumatic event. People who witnessed the incident are in shock.”
Davies, originally from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, had been residing in Thailand, where he operated a health supplies company. Since the news of his death, numerous tributes have poured in from friends and colleagues, reflecting on his impact in the business community.
The British Embassy in Bangkok has been informed of the incident and is currently in possession of details regarding the accident and Davies’ identity. The embassy is available to assist his family during this difficult time.
