Beau Greaves Poised to Shine After Securing PDC Tour Card

Beau Greaves has made history by securing a PDC Tour Card through the Development Tour, becoming only the second woman to achieve this on merit. The 21-year-old’s success is marked by her impressive performance throughout the season, where she finished as the runner-up in the Development Tour rankings and clinched victory in three events. This achievement guarantees her a place on the professional circuit for two years, starting from the 2026 season, following in the footsteps of Lisa Ashton, who earned her card through Q School in 2020.
Greaves now faces a pivotal decision regarding whether to accept her Tour Card. If she chooses to do so, it will prevent her from competing in World Darts Federation (WDF) events during that time. Greaves has previously expressed a strong interest in a Tour Card, stating it would be “stupid” not to accept one if offered. Her sister, Bobbi Greaves, hinted at her intention to take the card, noting on social media that “my girl is now officially a tour card holder.”
Support from the Top
World number one Luke Humphries has voiced his support for Greaves, predicting that she will “flourish” in the PDC Pro Tour. During his run to the World Grand Prix final, Humphries remarked, “I think she’s an amazing player and she deserves it.” He believes Greaves has the potential to break into the top 64 within two years if she remains relaxed and free from pressure.
Greaves has demonstrated her talent in various competitions. She recently made headlines during her fourth-round appearance at the UK Open, where she gave Humphries a tough match before ultimately losing 10-7, having initially led 7-5. Additionally, she came close to victory against Luke Littler in a Players Championship event, pushing the match to a final-leg decider in August.
Future Prospects
As a two-time champion of the PDC Women’s World Matchplay, Greaves has dominated the Women’s Series in 2025, currently holding an impressive 58-match winning streak. She has already secured her spot at the upcoming PDC World Championship through her commanding lead in the Women’s Series Order of Merit. This achievement now places her in a position to decide between participating in the prestigious championship at Alexandra Palace or opting out for a third consecutive year.
Humphries commented on this decision, stating, “It’s totally down to her. If she picks to go in the WDF and wants to be a four-time world champion, then fair play to her. That’s her prerogative.”
In the Women’s Series rankings, the top three players automatically qualify for the World Championship. Alongside Greaves, Lisa Ashton has secured her spot after winning the Women’s World Matchplay, while Fallon Sherrock sits in second place and has confirmed her participation for a sixth World Championship appearance.
With four remaining Women’s Series events scheduled for October 18-19, the final spots for the championship will be determined. Currently, Noa-Lynn van Leuven and Gemma Hayter occupy the remaining qualification places.
The upcoming Grand Slam of Darts is set to take place in Wolverhampton from November 8 to 16, followed by the World Darts Championship, which runs from December 11 to January 3 at Alexandra Palace. As the darting world awaits Greaves’ decision, her journey continues to captivate fans and fellow players alike.
