Llandudno Man Faces Charges for Inappropriate Behaviour Towards Children

A man from Llandudno has been charged with public order offences following reports of inappropriate behaviour towards schoolchildren. The accused, Terrence Sarjantson, aged 42, of Maes Yr Orsedd, was arrested on November 24, 2023, after officers responded to complaints regarding a suspicious male at the Asda store in Llandudno, and later in the Ffordd Las area.

The arrest came after local residents raised concerns about Sarjantson’s actions, particularly his approach towards children. He has since been released on conditional police bail and is scheduled to appear at Llandudno Magistrates Court on January 14, 2026.

Community Concerns Addressed by Authorities

Sgt Becca Southworth of North Wales Police acknowledged the anxiety within the community, especially among parents and caregivers. “We are aware of reports on social media in which local residents have expressed concern about a male approaching schoolchildren in an inappropriate manner yesterday evening,” she stated.

Sgt Southworth emphasized the department’s commitment to addressing such incidents swiftly. “Officers acted swiftly and arrested a male on suspicion of these public order offences. We understand that incidents of this nature can cause concern within the community. Please be assured that we take all reports extremely seriously.”

She further urged the public to report any suspicious behaviour immediately, reinforcing that the safety of children remains a priority for law enforcement. “Our policing response to any allegation involving the safety of children will always be swift, robust, and proportionate.”
