Montenegrin kickboxer Nemanja Čađenović has advanced to the semi-finals of the senior world championship held in Abu Dhabi, securing a medal in the process. Competing in the under 71-kilogram category in the low kick discipline, Čađenović triumphed over Elnur Mustafajev of Azerbaijan with a score of 2:1 in the quarter-finals. This achievement marks the third medal of his career at major competitions.

Čađenović’s next challenge will be a match against Atanas Dimov from Bulgaria as he aims for a place in the finals. Earlier in the tournament, he had already defeated Andreas Garcia from Guatemala, showcasing his strong performance throughout the event.

Close Calls for Other Competitors

While Čađenović celebrates his success, fellow competitors faced tougher challenges. Lazar Klikovac came close to reaching the semi-finals in the K1 discipline, competing in the under 86-kilogram category. Klikovac led against the current world champion Berka Duzenlija from Turkey during the first two rounds. Unfortunately, a penalty point awarded in the third round, combined with a few contentious decisions from the judges, ultimately led to a victory for Duzenlija.

In the same tournament, Viktor Borozan competed in the low kick category under 67 kilograms. After securing two impressive wins against Adil Omer from Iraq and Dastin Kronk from Canada, Borozan faced a setback in the quarter-finals, losing to Vedada Ćutuka from Bosnia and Herzegovina with a score of 3:0.

As the championship progresses, all eyes will be on Čađenović as he seeks to add to his accolades and continue his impressive journey in the sport.
