Police Arrest Woman for Stealing €950 Ring in Podgorica

A woman from Danilovgrad, identified as B.P. (51), has been arrested by the Podgorica police for allegedly stealing a gold ring valued at nearly €950 from a local jewelry store. The incident occurred on November 20, 2023, when the suspect reportedly took advantage of a moment of inattention from an employee to remove the ring from the display.

According to the police, B.P. was able to leave the jewelry store unnoticed after the theft. Days later, she sold the stolen ring to an unknown woman for the significantly reduced amount of €100. The Podgorica Police Department has been actively working to combat property crimes, and this case was no exception.

Through diligent investigative efforts, officers identified B.P. as the suspect responsible for the theft. Following the directives of the state prosecutor’s office in the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica, authorities arrested her on charges of theft.
