A woman from Danilovgrad, identified as B.P. (51), has been arrested by the Podgorica police for allegedly stealing a gold ring valued at nearly €950 from a local jewelry store. The incident occurred on November 20, 2023, when she reportedly took advantage of a moment of inattention from a store employee to grab the ring that was displayed on the counter.

According to the police, after stealing the ring, B.P. quickly left the scene. Days later, she sold the stolen jewelry to an unidentified woman for a mere €100. This swift sale raised suspicions and prompted further investigation by local authorities.

The Podgorica Police Department has been actively working to combat property crimes in the area. Following an intensive investigation, they were able to identify B.P. as the suspect involved in the theft. In response to the findings, a state prosecutor from the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica issued an order for her arrest.

B.P. now faces charges of theft, as confirmed by police statements. The incident highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to address and reduce criminal activities related to property crime in Podgorica.
