Die-Hard Oasis Fan Sneaks into Croke Park Concert Using Clever Ruse

A devoted fan of the British rock band Oasis has captured widespread attention after successfully sneaking into their concert at Croke Park in Dublin without a ticket. The band performed two nights at the iconic venue on September 23 and 24, 2023, drawing thousands of fans eager to witness their live performance.
The fan, who shared his experience on TikTok, detailed his elaborate plan to gain entry to the venue. Disguised as bar staff, he managed to acquire a fake wristband and entered Croke Park, despite facing significant security measures. In a video that quickly went viral, he explained that he spent three hours hiding in a toilet while waiting for the right moment to blend in with the crowd.
“This may be the greatest masterplan,” he declared in his TikTok post. He showcased his all-black outfit, which he believed helped him look the part. By queuing for a wristband under a false name, he crafted a convincing cover story. “I then snuck around the boss and found my way around the stadium to hide in the toilet,” he recounted, adding that he ultimately “sneaked past the Guards” to finally join the standing area.
This incident is not unique among Oasis fans. In July 2023, another fan, John Spilsbury, managed to attend a concert in Manchester by posing as a litter warden. Wearing a yellow hi-visibility vest, Spilsbury casually walked through security, claiming he was there to pick up litter. He later shared that his strategy was quite effective, as he was not questioned by security personnel. “It was just unbelievable really. From a security point of view, it was easy to get in,” he stated.
Such tales of ingenuity highlight the lengths some fans are willing to go to experience live music. The excitement surrounding Oasis concerts continues to draw crowds, leading some to take unconventional approaches when tickets are scarce.
As live music returns to venues around the world, the demand for tickets remains high, often exceeding availability. Fans eager to witness their favorite bands are likely to share similar stories of determination and creativity in the face of ticket scarcity. The viral escapades of these devoted fans not only entertain but also underscore the passionate connection many have with their favorite artists.
With social media platforms like TikTok amplifying these stories, fans worldwide can relate to the lengths others will go to for a memorable concert experience. As music lovers look forward to more events, the anticipation and excitement will continue to inspire similar adventurous tales.
