R&B Legend D’Angelo Passes Away at 51 After Cancer Battle

After a prolonged and courageous battle with cancer, we are heartbroken to announce that Michael D’Angelo Archer, known to his fans around the world as D’Angelo, has been called home.” They reflected on the impact he had on their lives and the music industry, adding, “We are saddened that he can only leave dear memories with his family, but we are eternally grateful for the legacy of extraordinarily moving music he leaves behind.”
D’Angelo emerged onto the music scene with his debut album, Brown Sugar, in 1995, quickly establishing himself as a leading figure in the R&B genre. Over the years, he collaborated with prominent artists including Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill, and Snoop Dogg, further solidifying his place in music history.
