Contrary to popular belief, this key component is not milk or butter, but rather crème fraîche, which contributes to a rich, creamy texture.

To prepare this dish, Ramsay recommends starting with just four fundamental ingredients, plus seasoning. The process begins by cracking six cold eggs into a deep saucepan and adding butter. For those preparing smaller portions, a two-to-one ratio of eggs to butter is ideal.

Once the ingredients are combined, the saucepan should be placed over high heat. Ramsay advises home cooks to stir the butter and egg mixture continuously using a rubber spatula. Notably, he diverges from some traditional recipes by suggesting that the egg mixture should not be whisked. Instead, he emphasizes the importance of scraping the bottom of the pan to ensure even cooking.

After stirring for about 30 seconds, the pan should be removed from the heat, with continued stirring for an additional 10 seconds. This process is repeated for three minutes, alternating between heat and stirring. In the final minute, seasoning with salt and black pepper is added.

The star ingredient, crème fraîche, comes into play at this stage. Ramsay instructs cooks to stir in one tablespoon of crème fraîche to achieve the desired creaminess. Once completed, the scrambled eggs can be plated and garnished with chopped chives.

For an enhanced dining experience, Ramsay suggests serving the creamy scrambled eggs atop toasted bread, with sourdough bread being a preferred option for a more sophisticated touch. Additional toppings such as avocado, rocket salad, salmon, bacon, prosciutto, or tomatoes can be included to further elevate the dish.
