Kenny Boyle has been named Scotland’s most influential TikToker for 2025, a title he received from the leading PR agency Spey. The 41-year-old, known as @kennyboyleofficial on the platform, expressed his gratitude, declaring it a “true honour” to represent his country and share its rich cultural narratives with a global audience.

Boyle, who boasts an impressive engagement rate of 24.77% among his 139,600 followers, has captivated viewers with his storytelling, focusing on Scotland’s folklore and traditions. “I love Scotland, and I love sharing stories about Scotland’s culture, language, and incredibly rich and totally fascinating folklore and mythology,” he stated. His TikTok bio succinctly captures his mission: “Scottish actor and writer from the Isle of Lewis. Follow me, I know the way.”

Spey, part of the Muckle Media Group, announced the results as part of its annual ranking of the top ten most influential Scots on TikTok. The list highlights creators who showcase Scotland’s cultural heritage through engaging content.

Ranking second is lifestyle creator Eddie Fade Walker (@eddiefadewalker), who has an engagement rate of 19.47% with 241,000 followers. Fashion and lifestyle influencer Zara McIntosh (@whatzaraloves6) follows closely in third place, achieving an engagement rate of 16.24% among her 130,500 followers. The top five is rounded out by singer-songwriter Calum Bowie and cosplayer Millie Graham, while last year’s winner, author and tour guide Bryan Millar Walker, placed eighth this year.

Nathalie Agnew, managing director of the Muckle Media Group, emphasized the significance of Boyle’s content, stating, “How fitting that this year we crown a creator whose content is focused on showcasing the best of Scottish culture. From spotlighting tales of Scottish folklore to bringing attention to Scottish traditions, Kenny’s content is a celebration of everything that makes Scotland unique.”

The PR agency collaborated with the influencer marketing platform Modash to compile this year’s rankings. Ryan Prior, head of marketing at Modash, noted the variety within the list, highlighting the mix of returning creators and emerging talents. “It is great to see a mixture of new and returning names, with creators like Kenny massively growing in popularity,” he remarked.

Boyle’s most popular TikTok video has garnered over 3.3 million views and 269,000 likes. In this particular clip, he discusses the Fachan, a grotesque creature from Scottish folklore, and invites his audience to consider its unique appearance. He posed the question, “I struggle to think of a fairy, monster, or mythological creature that looks stranger than the Fachan of Scottish mythology.”

As TikTok continues to grow in influence, Kenny Boyle’s recognition represents not only personal achievement but also a broader appreciation for Scotland’s unique stories and cultural heritage. His dedication to bringing these narratives into the digital age resonates with audiences around the world, ensuring that traditions are preserved and celebrated in contemporary contexts.
