Benidorm Set to Build £24m Luxury Skyscraper, the TM Tower

A new era for luxury living is on the horizon in Benidorm, Spain, as the local council has approved the construction of a towering residential building. The TM Tower, standing at an impressive 230 metres (754 feet), will soon claim the title of the tallest residential tower in the European Union, surpassing the existing tallest structure in Benidorm, the Intempo, which measures 202 metres (662 feet). This ambitious project has a projected cost of approximately £23.8 million and is expected to be completed by the second half of 2028.
The TM Tower will consist of 64 floors housing 260 flats, which will range from one to four bedrooms. Located directly opposite Benidorm’s largest beach, Poniente, the tower will offer residents a range of amenities, including gyms, sports areas, swimming pools, and a private cinema. At the pinnacle of the building, a bar featuring an astronomical observatory will provide stunning views of the surrounding area.
Benidorm, situated on Spain’s Costa Blanca, is well-known among British tourists and is celebrating its 900th anniversary this year. Once a small fishing village, it has transformed into one of the Mediterranean’s most popular holiday destinations, attracting nearly 900,000 visitors from the UK in the previous year alone. The city is notable for its skyline, already boasting the highest number of skyscrapers per capita in the world.
The TM Tower is set to outshine all other residential buildings in Europe, except for the towering Neva Towers complex in Moscow, Russia, which stands at 354 metres. The construction, backed by TM Grupo Inmobiliario, is designed with a rigid reinforced concrete structure that has been tested in a wind tunnel, ensuring stability and comfort even on windy days. Additionally, the building will feature elevators capable of reaching speeds of up to six metres per second.
Details provided by TM Grupo Inmobiliario highlight that the TM Tower will encompass over 13,000 square metres of communal areas. The company emphasizes that the design of the tower aims to enhance the Mediterranean lifestyle for its future residents. Some potential tenants have already begun making pre-reservations, indicating a strong interest in this groundbreaking project.
As Benidorm looks forward to expanding its skyline, the TM Tower promises to redefine luxury living in the region, attracting both residents and tourists eager to experience its exceptional offerings.
