Samsung Launches Galaxy S26 Series with Attractive Pre-Order Bonuses
Samsung has unveiled its latest Galaxy smartphones, including the highly anticipated Galaxy S26 series, during its annual Unpacked event held on February 25, 2024, in San Francisco. The lineup features three models: the standard Galaxy S26, the Galaxy S26+, and the flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra. Customers can now pre-order these devices, which will officially launch in the UK on March 11, 2024.
Pricing for the Galaxy S26 series starts at £879 for the standard model, £1,099 for the S26+, and £1,279 for the S26 Ultra when purchased outright. For those looking to finance their purchase, Sky Mobile has announced competitive pre-order offers, which include several enticing bonuses. Monthly payments begin at £30 for the S26, £38 for the S26+, and £44 for the S26 Ultra.
Attractive Pre-Order Offers
Customers who pre-order by the March 10, 2024, deadline will receive additional incentives. Buyers of the Galaxy S26 and S26+ will receive a free Galaxy Watch8 valued at £319, while those opting for the S26 Ultra will be gifted a Galaxy Watch8 Classic worth £449. Furthermore, pre-order customers will benefit from double storage at no extra cost, allowing them to secure the 512GB model for the price of the 256GB version.
Sky Mobile’s offers do come with a caveat. The contracts include a limited 100MB data allowance, prompting users to consider upgrading to larger plans to avoid running out of data. Additionally, Sky has indicated that its pricing may change during the 36-month minimum term, according to reports from Birmingham Live.
For buyers preferring to explore other options, retailers such as Mobiles.co.uk and Three are offering competitive deals. At Mobiles.co.uk, customers can secure the standard S26 for £34.99 per month with a £9 upfront fee, which includes 100GB of data. Alternatively, Three is providing unlimited data for £35.89 per month and a £40 upfront fee for the standard S26, while the S26 Ultra is available for £46.89 per month with a £50 upfront fee.
Innovative Features of the Galaxy S26 Series
The Galaxy S26 series is available in four colors: Cobalt Violet, Black, White, and Sky Blue. Key features include an AMOLED display, the new Exynos 2600 processor, enhanced wireless charging, and advanced AI capabilities. The S26 Ultra boasts the most powerful processor ever in a Galaxy phone, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and features a sleek 7.9mm frame.
David Snelling, Technology Editor at The Mirror, praised the S26 Ultra for its innovative Privacy Display feature, which prevents others from viewing the screen’s content unless the user is looking directly at it. He noted, “Once activated in the settings, content magically disappears if you aren’t staring directly at it. That means strangers sitting next to you on the train won’t be able to read your texts or have a cheeky glance at the movie you are watching.”
In addition to its thinner design and long battery life, the S26 Ultra is equipped with rapid charging capabilities that can recharge the device to 75% in just 30 minutes. The updated quad rear camera also enhances low-light photography and offers improved video capture with upgraded Super Steady capabilities, providing a horizontal lock option for stable recording.
Despite the advancements, Snelling pointed out that the design of the S26 Ultra closely resembles its predecessor, the S22 Ultra, with only minor adjustments to the camera bump. He highlighted that the new smartphones feature significant improvements to their smart capabilities, thanks to a Galaxy AI upgrade. The Galaxy S26 now offers smarter suggestions, such as recommending photos based on recent conversations.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is currently available for pre-order at various retailers, including Sky Mobile, Mobiles.co.uk, Three, EE, Samsung.com, and Amazon. With its impressive features and attractive pre-order bonuses, the Galaxy S26 series is poised to make a significant impact in the competitive smartphone market.
