Boško Laketić Takes Charge of URA Media Team Following Congress

Following the Fourth Congress of the Civil Movement URA, Boško Laketić has been appointed as the head of the party’s Media Team. This decision was made during a meeting of the Main Board, reflecting Laketić’s ongoing influence within the organization.

Born in 1993 in Mojkovac, Laketić completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown before pursuing a degree in history at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nikšić. He has been a member of URA since 2016 and currently serves as the president of the Mojkovac branch of the party, as well as a councilor in the Mojkovac Municipality Assembly.

Laketić previously held the role of Media Team leader and his reappointment signifies recognition of the work he and his team have accomplished. Expressing gratitude to the members of the Main Board for their trust, he emphasized their collective goal to innovate political marketing strategies within Montenegro.

In his statement, Laketić remarked, “URA has been and remains a party that disrupts the established multi-decade patterns in Montenegro. It challenges the status quo for those leaning towards nationalism, populism, and crime, which is why it faces attacks from various groups.” He highlighted the recent public disclosures that illustrate how the environment was shaped after the changes in 2020 to exert pressure on URA.

Laketić acknowledged the challenges the party has faced, stating, “Despite our comparatively small strength, we have persevered with great heart and a strong belief in the righteousness of our fight for a better Montenegro that serves all its citizens.”

His pride in the achievements of URA is evident, and he expressed eagerness to continue contributing to its story. As the political landscape evolves, Laketić’s leadership is poised to play a significant role in shaping the future of URA and its impact on Montenegrin politics.
