Andrew Pierce Confirms Departure from ITV’s Good Morning Britain
Andrew Pierce, a prominent contributor to Good Morning Britain and host on GB News, has announced his departure from the ITV morning show. In a social media post, Pierce confirmed that his last appearance on the programme will be next week, stating, “Not a suggestion. It’s a fact, next week sadly is my last on @gmb, but viewers can tune in to see me presenting on @GBNEWS from 9:30 AM Monday to Thursday.”
The announcement sparked a wave of support from fans, who took to the comments section to express their well-wishes. One follower inquired about the future of Pierce’s podcast with Kevin Maguire, while another simply asked, “Why?” Many viewers expressed their appreciation for the engaging dynamic between Pierce and Maguire, with one comment highlighting that the pair’s discussions made for an entertaining viewing experience.
Fans Reflect on Pierce’s Impact
Despite differing political views, several fans acknowledged Pierce’s contributions to the show. One viewer remarked, “Well, Mr. Pierce, even though I don’t agree with anything you say, I do appreciate your different opinions and want to wish you all the best.” Others noted that they would miss the lively exchanges between Pierce and Maguire, with one follower stating, “Will miss you. The banter between you and Maguire has me ranting at the telly most mornings.”
On a recent episode of Good Morning Britain, Pierce hinted at his exit during a lighthearted exchange with co-hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley. When Reid asked about the duo’s interactions with the public, Pierce joked that people often “shout at him” about Maguire. “They all say, ‘Is he as bad in real life as he is on the show?’ I say, ‘Yes, he is actually,'” he quipped.
Reid suggested that viewers might wonder if Pierce and Maguire are genuinely friends outside of the studio, despite their fiery debates on air. Maguire added, “You can disagree without being disagreeable all the time,” while Madeley inquired about how long the two had worked together, to which Maguire responded it had been approximately eight to ten years. “Since the beginning,” Reid noted. Pierce then remarked, “Not for much longer, sadly.”
Looking Ahead to GB News
As Pierce transitions to his role at GB News, fans can expect to see him on air Monday through Thursday from 9:30 AM. His departure from Good Morning Britain marks the end of an era for viewers who have followed his contributions to the show over the years.
“Will miss you, Andrew, on GMB, loved the ‘banter’ between you and Kevin. Good luck on GB News,”
stated one fan, encapsulating the sentiments of many who have enjoyed the spirited discussions and differing opinions shared on the programme.
As the final week approaches, audiences are left reflecting on Pierce’s impact within the show and eagerly anticipating his new role. Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6:00 AM on ITV, where viewers can continue to engage with the discussion before Pierce embarks on this new chapter in his career.
