Organisers announced on December 10, 2023, that Lee, renowned for his role as the villain Kwon in the popular series Cobra Kai, will be among the special guests at the convention. The 26-year-old is also known for his impressive stunt work, having doubled for Simu Liu in the Marvel film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. His extensive background as a champion Taekwondo practitioner, holding a 5th-degree black belt, adds to his appeal among fans.
Joining Lee at the event are acclaimed actors Gillian Anderson, best known for her role in The X-Files, and William Shatner, famed for his portrayal of Captain Kirk in Star Trek. This star-studded lineup continues the convention’s tradition of attracting high-profile guests from various entertainment backgrounds.
In addition to Lee, Anderson, and Shatner, the previous year’s event featured a diverse array of celebrities.
