The decision is expected to serve as a catalyst for the area’s further development.
Radoš Žugić, the President of the Municipality of Žabljak, emphasized that this financial backing reflects the diligent and ongoing efforts of the local administration. He highlighted a clear developmental vision and consistent advocacy for residents’ interests, combined with constructive collaboration with the Government of Montenegro. Unlike past years characterized by numerous unfulfilled promises, this decision confirms a commitment to achieving measurable progress through responsible governance and partnerships.
Žugić noted that the Montenegro Government has recognized Žabljak as a strategically important municipality, particularly regarding sustainable development, tourism, and improving the quality of life for residents. He stated that securing funding of this magnitude demonstrates confidence in the local administration’s ability to plan, implement, and manage developmental projects effectively.
Infrastructure Development and Future Prospects
The planned financial support will facilitate the execution of key infrastructure projects that are poised to contribute to the long-term development of Žabljak, ultimately creating better living conditions for all citizens. The Municipality of Žabljak reiterated its commitment to maintaining a cooperative relationship with the Montenegro Government, emphasizing a responsible policy approach and consistent representation of local community interests.
This budget allocation serves as a clear indication that Žabljak is no longer on the periphery of developmental policies. Instead, it establishes the municipality as an equal and reliable partner in the overall development of Montenegro. The investment is expected to foster a more integrated approach to regional growth and enhance the municipality’s position within national priorities.
In conclusion, the allocation of €30 million for infrastructure in Žabljak signifies a substantial investment in the future of the region, with the potential to transform local living standards and stimulate economic growth. The collaboration between the local administration and the national government underscores a commitment to sustainable development that benefits all citizens.
