Spice Village Opens for Christmas Day to Ensure No One Eats Alone
Spice Village in Southall has announced its commitment to ensure that no one eats alone this Christmas Day by offering free meals, food packs, and gifts to those in need. On December 25, 2025, the award-winning restaurant will welcome homeless individuals, the elderly, disabled persons, and families facing difficulties as part of its ongoing community initiative. Founded by Suleman Raza, who migrated to London from Pakistan in the early 2000s, Spice Village has transformed from a modest 15-seater takeaway into one of the UK’s most recognized South Asian restaurant brands.
The ethos of Spice Village extends beyond culinary excellence. While the restaurant is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and popular drive-through service, its deeper purpose is rooted in community engagement. Suleman Raza emphasizes that his motivation to support others stems from his own experiences as a migrant. He reflects, “There was a time when I needed help, and the community helped me stand back up. If we are in a position to help today, then it becomes our duty to do so.”
Year-Round Commitment to Community Service
Spice Village’s annual Christmas Day initiative is part of a broader commitment to community service. Through the One Million Meals campaign, the restaurant has provided meals to those in need across London. This includes regular food support for the NHS, ambulance services, emergency responders, and Metropolitan Police officers. Recognizing their unwavering service, especially during challenging times, Spice Village aims to contribute meaningfully to society.
On Christmas Day, guests will be welcomed into the restaurant with warmth and dignity, enjoying a freshly prepared three-course meal. Additionally, food packs and gifts will be distributed to support individuals and families beyond the festive day, ensuring the initiative has a lasting impact.
For the staff and volunteers at Spice Village, this annual event is more than mere charity; it serves as a reminder that success holds value only when shared. The restaurant’s mission reflects a deep commitment to fostering a sense of community, reinforcing the belief that no one should be alone during the festive season.

The Christmas Day event at Spice Village will take place on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at 185 to 189 The Broadway, Southall, UB1 1LX. Free meals, food packs, and gifts will be provided to all attendees.
As the festive season unfolds, Spice Village remains steadfast in its promise that no one eats alone on Christmas Day.
