Tilbourne Players Present Engaging Adaptation of Wind in the Willows
The Tilbourne Players are set to enchant audiences with their latest production, a captivating adaptation of Wind in the Willows, written by Kenneth Grahame. This classic tale, which celebrates the joys of life along the riverbank, will be performed at the Tilford Institute from November 26 to 29, 2023. Under the direction of David Brace and Rob Durrant, the ensemble features a “very talented cast” that promises to bring this beloved story to life.
The adaptation, penned by acclaimed playwright Alan Bennett, is noted for its wit and charm. Bennett’s version highlights his affection for the English language and evokes a sense of nostalgia for a simpler time, where leisurely picnics and serene river excursions were cherished pastimes. The play offers an opportunity for audiences to reconnect with the iconic characters of Ratty, Mole, Badger, and Toad in a production described as “impressive and appealing.”
