Tyrone Darts Tournament Crowned Stewartstown District Champions

The inaugural inter-district darts tournament held at Tamnamore Orange Hall concluded with Stewartstown District LOL No 2 claiming victory. Organised by the Killyman District Orange Order, this event brought together teams from various districts across County Tyrone for a night of spirited competition and camaraderie.

Participants included teams of five from multiple districts, each eager to showcase their skills on the oche. The tournament format promoted maximum engagement, allowing each player to compete in three games, with each game consisting of three legs. Every leg offered crucial points, enhancing the competitive spirit and ensuring that every match contributed to the overall team standings.

Among the notable teams was the Pomeroy District LOL No 5, featuring a strong lineup that included Deputy District Master Raphael Burnside, Gareth Boyd, Daryl Graham, Mark Kerr, and Stephen Ramsay. The Pomeroy team delivered solid performances throughout the evening, with all members securing at least one victory, showcasing their teamwork and determination.

A standout moment came when Bro. Stephen Ramsay achieved a maximum score of 180, eliciting cheers from teammates, supporters, and opponents alike. His skill exemplified the high level of play on display throughout the tournament.

As the night progressed, the final results were tallied. Stewartstown District LOL No 2 emerged as champions, demonstrating consistent performance and precision in their finishing. The final standings revealed a competitive event: 1st place went to Stewartstown District, followed by Pomeroy District in 2nd and Killen District in 3rd.

The evening’s success was largely credited to the Killyman District Orange Order for their excellent organisational efforts. Participants praised the warm atmosphere and outstanding facilities at Tamnamore Orange Hall, which provided an ideal backdrop for the tournament.
