Tesco Doubles Clubcard Points on Gift Cards for December

Tesco is enhancing its Clubcard program this December by offering members double points on gift card purchases. From now until December 31, 2023, shoppers will earn two points for every £1 spent on gift cards, making it an appealing option for holiday gifting or personal use.

Traditionally, Tesco provides one point per £1 spent, and gift card purchases do not typically qualify for points. However, this promotion allows Clubcard members to accumulate additional rewards, which can be redeemed with Tesco’s Reward Partners for potential savings of up to 4% on future spending.

Ban Mahsoub, Partnerships Director at Tesco Insurance and Money Services, noted the difficulties many face in selecting the perfect Christmas gift. He stated, “With two points for every £1 spent on gift cards, you can be confident you’re giving something they’ll love, and you’ll get a little something back for yourself too. It’s a win-win.”

The promotion includes all third-party gift cards available in selected Tesco stores. Shoppers can purchase gift cards for popular retailers like Currys, Dunelm, and B&Q. For example, a customer intending to buy a product from one of these stores can first buy a Tesco gift card, earn double Clubcard points, and then complete their transaction seamlessly.

Additionally, Tesco’s gift card selection includes well-known brands such as Apple, Five Guys, H&M, Fortnite, Google Play, Greggs, Lego, Pandora, and Primark, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences.

With 24 million households in the UK already enrolled in the Tesco Clubcard program, this promotion is expected to encourage more customers to take advantage of the offer. For further details and to review the full Terms and Conditions, customers can visit tesco.com/giftcards.

The initiative not only aims to boost sales during the holiday season but also enhances customer loyalty by providing added value to their shopping experience.
