Wolf Alice’s Joff Oddie to Miss North American Tour for Baby’s Birth
Wolf Alice guitarist Joff Oddie has announced he will not participate in the band’s upcoming North American tour due to the imminent birth of his first child. Oddie shared the news on the band’s official Facebook page, expressing both excitement and sadness about missing the tour.
The tour kicks off on September 10, 2025, at the Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. This leg of the tour includes 11 performances across the United States and Canada, wrapping up on September 30 in Austin, Texas. Oddie reassured fans that John Victor, a member of indie rock band Gengahr, will fill in during his absence. He praised Victor as one of his favorite guitarists and a wonderful person.
Wolf Alice is set to embark on this tour following their recent album release, The Clearing, and the single Bloom Baby Bloom. The Mercury Prize-winning band has been generating considerable buzz in the music scene, with NME giving their latest album a five-star review, highlighting their continuous evolution and improvement as artists.
Tour Schedule and Future Plans
The North American tour schedule includes notable stops at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., the Union Transfer in Philadelphia, and the House of Blues in Boston, among others. After concluding the North American dates, Wolf Alice will head to Europe in November, performing in cities such as Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Berlin.
The European leg of the tour begins on November 5 and will feature a total of 14 dates across various countries, including Germany, Italy, and France. The band will then return to the UK and Ireland for seven shows starting on November 28 at the AO Arena in Manchester, concluding on December 10 at the 3Arena in Dublin.
Wolf Alice’s tour not only showcases their musical talents but also reflects the band’s dedication to their craft and their fans. Oddie’s decision to prioritize family during this time resonates with many, emphasizing the balance between personal life and career.
As the band prepares for their tour, fans eagerly await the opportunity to experience their new music live. For those interested in attending, tickets are available for both UK and international shows through their official website.
In addition to their tour, Wolf Alice recently performed a cover of Olivia Dean‘s song Nice to Each Other in the BBC Radio One Live Lounge, further showcasing their versatile musical capabilities.
Wolf Alice continues to be a powerful force in the music industry, and their upcoming tour promises to be a memorable experience for fans across the globe.
