Kerry Katona Discusses Future Baby Plans and Brian McFadden’s Wedding

Kerry Katona has expressed her desire to welcome another child while clarifying her relationship status with ex-partner Ryan Mahoney. The 44-year-old singer, known for her time with the band Atomic Kitten, has five children from previous relationships: Molly, 23, and Lilly-Sue, 22, with first husband Brian McFadden; Heidi, 18, and Max, 17, with Mark Croft; and DJ, 11, with the late George Kay.
In her latest column for new! magazine, Katona reflected on DJ’s recent school leavers’ dance, marking a transition as she prepares to enter secondary school in September. “On July 6, it was also the sixth anniversary of her dad George’s death, so that wasn’t easy,” Katona shared, acknowledging the emotional weight of the day. She expressed pride in DJ and noted that Mahoney was there to support her daughter.
Many followers took to social media after Katona posted a photo of the three of them, questioning whether she and Mahoney were rekindling their romance. Katona was quick to clarify, stating, “We are not back together. I’d never want to stop him seeing the kids, but I’d never go back there.” She emphasized her focus on the future, revealing her renewed interest in expanding her family. “I’m now set on the fact I want another baby – I thought I was done with having kids, but I’ve been feeling really broody, so we’ll see,” she wrote.
Wishing Happiness to Brian McFadden
Katona also extended her best wishes to her ex-husband, Brian McFadden, who recently married for the third time. She reached out to his new wife, Danielle Parkinson, before their wedding to offer her congratulations. “My ex, Brian McFadden, got married earlier this month and I just want to wish him and his wife Danielle a lifetime of happiness,” Katona stated. She found it disheartening that media coverage often centers on her in relation to McFadden’s milestones. “His wedding has nothing to do with me at all,” she remarked, highlighting that she simply wanted to celebrate their special day.
Preparing for Surgery
In addition to her family plans, Katona is preparing for cosmetic surgery, specifically breast enlargement. After losing nearly 30 pounds, she noted the change in her body, particularly in her cleavage. “Ever since losing weight, I feel like I’ve also lost my old boobs, so I’m excited to have some again,” she shared. The procedure is scheduled for July, and she acknowledged feeling anxious about the upcoming surgery. “I’m never very good at coping in the lead-up to surgery,” she admitted, but she is eager to see the results.
Kerry Katona continues to navigate her personal and professional life with candor, revealing her hopes for the future and her support for her family. As she embarks on this new chapter, her story resonates with many who appreciate her openness about motherhood, relationships, and self-improvement.
