Oasis Brothers Check into Separate Hotels Ahead of Dublin Shows
Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher are preparing for their highly anticipated concerts at Croke Park by staying in separate luxurious five-star hotels in Ireland. Noel has chosen the elegant Carton House in Maynooth, Co Kildare, while Liam is set to arrive at the Powerscourt Hotel in Wicklow ahead of their performances on Saturday, March 16, 2024, and Sunday, March 17, 2024.
Noel arrived at Dublin Airport on Friday afternoon, around 15:00, and proceeded directly to his hotel. Meanwhile, Liam will check into the Powerscourt Hotel on Saturday morning, just hours before the first show at the GAA stadium. Both brothers opted for independent travel arrangements.
The band’s guitarist, Paul Arthurs, also known as Bonehead, along with fellow band members Gem Archer and Joey Waronker, are staying at the five-star Merrion Hotel in Dublin’s city centre. According to reports from the Irish Mirror, significant security measures are in place for the Gallaghers, with approximately 20 vehicles designated to escort them around the city during their stay.
A Luxurious Stay in Dublin
The Carton House, located just 25 minutes from Dublin, spans 1,100 acres of parkland, woodlands, and lakes. The hotel, which once served as the ancestral home of the Earls of Kildare, offers accommodation starting from €450 per night. It has a storied history, having hosted numerous celebrities, including Queen Victoria and Lana Del Rey. The estate has also been featured in films such as *Barry Lyndon*.
On the other hand, Liam will unwind at the Powerscourt Hotel, where room rates start at €240 for a deluxe room. The hotel has welcomed various famous guests, including Ariana Grande and David Bowie, and has served as a filming location for productions like *The Tudors*. A night in a Powerscourt Suite can cost up to €1,200.
Both hotels reflect the extravagant lifestyle associated with the music legends, and fans are eager to catch a glimpse of them during their stay.
Fans Flock to Dublin for Concerts
As excitement builds in Dublin for the sold-out shows, fans have started to arrive in droves. An Oasis pop-up shop drew long lines, with supporters waiting up to an hour for merchandise. Fans from around the globe, including Brazil, Canada, and Sweden, have made the journey to witness the legendary band’s performances.
Married couple John and Leigh-Anne Donovan are attending both concerts at Croke Park. John reminisced about his first Oasis experience, recalling, “I can’t remember the song, but I remember I got goosebumps when I heard them play.” Their shared love for Oasis played a significant role in their relationship.
Brazilian fan Isabella Cometti, who traveled from Recife with her father, expressed her enthusiasm for the concerts, stating, “I love their energy and their music. The brothers are very charismatic.” She initially faced challenges securing tickets, relying on friends for assistance.
Dutch fans Pieter, Maaike Melsen, and Carmen Geense also arrived in Dublin specifically for the concerts. Pieter noted that this trip marks their tenth visit to the city, highlighting their affection for both Dublin and Oasis.
As the city buzzes with anticipation, the band has opted to skip their sound check, as preparations for the stage remain ongoing. With over 160,000 fans expected over the weekend, the atmosphere in Dublin is electric, reflecting the enduring legacy of Oasis and the excitement surrounding their reunion.
