Oswestry Cancer Buddies Launch Supportive iCan Core Programme

The Oswestry Cancer Buddies group has introduced the innovative iCan Core programme, designed to provide tailored support for individuals navigating the challenges of cancer rehabilitation. This initiative focuses on the unique needs of participants, taking into consideration their specific cancer diagnoses, treatment plans, and physical capabilities. With the support of a dedicated team of cancer rehabilitation and mindfulness specialists, the programme fosters a safe environment for sharing experiences and building connections with others facing similar journeys.
Participants in the iCan Core programme have access to a variety of resources that cater to their individual circumstances. The goal is to empower individuals in their recovery process by providing not only physical rehabilitation but also emotional and mental support. This holistic approach recognizes the importance of addressing both the physical and psychological aspects of cancer recovery.
Community Engagement and Support
Oswestry Cancer Buddies hosts drop-in sessions every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. These gatherings take place in the Meeting Room of Oswestry Library, located on Arthur Street. Linda, a dedicated volunteer, welcomes attendees with a warm smile and a cup of tea or coffee, creating a friendly atmosphere that encourages open conversation among participants.
The drop-in sessions not only provide a chance for individuals to connect with others but also serve as a platform for sharing valuable information regarding cancer support services and resources. Attendees can engage in discussions about their experiences and gain insights from others who are on a similar path.
For those interested in learning more about the iCan Core programme or Oswestry Cancer Buddies, further information can be found on their Facebook page at @oswestrycancerbuddies. Alternatively, inquiries can be directed to Linda at 07711 981984 or via email at [email protected].
As the Oswestry Cancer Buddies continue to expand their offerings, the introduction of the iCan Core programme represents a significant step forward in addressing the comprehensive needs of cancer patients within the community. The combination of professional support and peer connection enhances the overall experience for participants, contributing to a more positive outlook during their recovery journey.
