Sunshine Expected as Latitude Festival Kicks Off This Weekend

Festival-goers are eagerly anticipating the start of the Latitude Festival, which will take place at Henham Park in Suffolk from July 25 to July 27, 2025. As attendees prepare for a weekend filled with music and entertainment, the weather forecast suggests that conditions will improve, alleviating previous concerns about rain and thunderstorms.
Earlier in the week, stormy skies raised worries about a potential washout for the festival. On July 21, the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms in Southwold, located just five miles from the festival site. Fortunately, updated forecasts indicate that festival-goers can expect dry weather throughout the weekend.
Weather Outlook for Latitude Festival
According to the Met Office, the weather for the festival weekend looks promising. Attendees can anticipate sunny intervals on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with clouds rolling in during the evenings. The highest temperature for Friday is projected to reach 24°C, dipping to a low of 15°C. On Saturday, temperatures will slightly decrease to highs of 23°C and lows of 14°C, before returning to a similar range on Sunday.
Wind conditions are also an important factor for campers, especially those worried about strong gusts affecting their tents. The forecast predicts wind speeds of up to 17 mph on Friday, increasing to 19 mph for both Saturday and Sunday.
Lineup Highlights and Festival History
The Latitude Festival, founded by festival director Melvin Benn in 2006, has become a staple on the UK’s festival calendar, featuring performances from renowned artists such as Florence and the Machine, Nick Cave, Sam Fender, Bon Iver, Paul Weller, and Pulp. This year, headliners include Sting, Fatboy Slim, and Snow Patrol, promising an exciting lineup that will draw music enthusiasts from across the region.
As the festival approaches, attendees are hopeful for clear skies and enjoyable weather, ready to dance and celebrate the vibrant atmosphere that Latitude is known for. The festival not only offers a wide array of musical acts but also provides a unique cultural experience, making it a highly anticipated event on the summer calendar.
With the weather forecast looking favorable, festival-goers can look forward to a memorable weekend filled with music, community, and the joys of outdoor festivities.
