Paul Sartori Foundation Celebrates Achievements at Community Event
The Paul Sartori Foundation is hosting a special event on September 24, 2023, at Pembrokeshire College to celebrate its achievements in providing hospice care throughout Pembrokeshire. The gathering will commence at 6:00 PM, with guests invited to arrive from 5:30 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from the charity’s Board of Trustees and Laura Hugman, Clinical Team Manager, about the essential services offered to individuals in the final stages of life.
Established in memory of Father Paul Sartori, a local parish priest who recognized the need for hospice care in Pembrokeshire, the foundation has been a cornerstone of community support for over four decades. The charity provides a range of free services, which include hands-on nursing care, rapid-response equipment loans, physiotherapy, complementary therapies, future care planning, and both anticipatory and bereavement counselling. These services enable patients to remain at home, surrounded by their loved ones, while receiving the dignity and support they deserve.
All services offered by the Paul Sartori Foundation are provided completely free of charge, available 24 hours a day, throughout the year. This commitment is made possible through the generosity of the local community, including donations, support from local businesses, and the dedication of over 300 volunteers alongside a committed staff team.
Community Support and Future Vision
The upcoming meeting will also serve as a platform to acknowledge the contributions of friends, local businesses, community groups, grant funders, and government bodies, both local and national. Sandra Dade, Charity Manager, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating, “We warmly welcome anyone with an interest in our work to join us, hear about the impact we have achieved, and share in our vision for the future.”
The Paul Sartori Foundation encourages supporters, partners, and members of the local community to attend this significant event. Those wishing to participate are kindly asked to confirm their attendance by emailing [email protected] to assist with catering arrangements.
As the foundation continues to strive for excellence in hospice care, this celebration presents a vital opportunity for community members to engage and recognize the essential work being done in Pembrokeshire.
