Teams Clash in Round 12 of Meridianbet 1. CFL Action

The excitement of club football returns as the Meridianbet 1. CFL resumes with all matches of Round 12 taking place today. The action kicks off at 15:00 local time with a match between Bokelj and Jezera in Kotor. Following that, Jedinstvo will host OFK Mladost at 16:30, while Petrovac takes on Sutjeska at 17:00. Buducnost faces Arsenal at 18:00, coinciding with a match between Mornar and league leaders Decic at Topolica.
The league’s competitive landscape is heating up, with several teams feeling the pressure of the title race. Mornar, under the guidance of coach Vesko Stešević, remains unbeaten in their last six matches, recording three wins and three draws. As they prepare to face Decic, Stešević noted the team’s positive momentum: “We needed some time to adapt to the new coach’s vision. We are much stronger now, and our defense has improved significantly.”
Despite not dominating games, Decic stands first in the table, a rarity for a leader with a negative goal difference. This peculiar statistic indicates vulnerabilities that Mornar hopes to exploit. “It shows the opponent is vulnerable and gives us a chance to win,” said a Mornar player, emphasizing the team’s determination to capitalize on this opportunity.
As Buducnost enters their match against Arsenal, they aim to narrow a four-point gap to the top of the table. Coach Dejan Vukičević expressed optimism following a significant victory in their last match against their rivals. “After our triumph in Nikšić, the training environment has been very positive. We hope to continue our winning streak today.”
The team will face challenges with player availability due to injuries and suspensions, but Vukičević remains focused on securing three points. “We respect Arsenal, but we must concentrate on our performance. We’ve worked hard to improve our physical condition and are determined not to lose points at home,” he stated.
In a separate fixture, Petrovac prepares to take on Sutjeska, with recent managerial changes positively impacting their performance. Under new coach Zdravko Dragićević, the team has achieved five wins and one draw. “We will do everything to extend our positive streak against Sutjeska,” Dragićević affirmed.
Meanwhile, Bokelj enters their match against Jezera in desperate need of points to escape the bottom of the table. Coach Vladimir Savićević emphasized the urgency: “Every match is crucial for us. We will fight for victory despite our challenges.”
With the league heating up, today’s matches promise excitement and intense competition as clubs vie for crucial points in the Meridianbet 1. CFL. The outcomes will significantly impact the standings and set the stage for the remainder of the season.
