The protests also drew attention from artists, with El Haq Latief, a non-binary Southeast Asian actor, expressing their dismay on TikTok while preparing for a performance of *Cabaret*, a musical that critiques the rise of far-right ideologies in Germany before World War II. Latief remarked, “This is actually disgusting behaviour,” as they shared footage of young children involved in the protests.
