Brainomix AI Technology Transforms Stroke Recovery Rates
Brainomix, a UK-based leader in AI-driven medical imaging solutions, is receiving significant attention following a recent study that highlights the effectiveness of its Brainomix 360 Stroke technology. The research, conducted by the Royal Berkshire Hospital, revealed that the software has successfully tripled the rate of stroke patients achieving functional independence, increasing from 16% to 48%.
The findings are part of the largest real-world evaluation of stroke AI imaging, which also noted that the Brainomix 360 Stroke system contributed to a more than 50% increase in the use of mechanical thrombectomy, a critical treatment for stroke patients. This technology has been designed to enhance the decision-making process for clinicians by providing real-time analysis of brain scans, thus facilitating quicker treatment and transfer decisions in both specialized and general hospital settings.
David Hargroves, NHS Clinical Director for Stroke, emphasized the importance of rapid response in stroke care. He stated, “This AI decision support technology is revolutionising how we help people who have been affected by stroke. It is estimated a patient loses around 2 million brain cells a minute at the start of a stroke, making quick diagnosis and treatment crucial.”
The Brainomix 360 Stroke platform utilizes sophisticated AI algorithms to support healthcare professionals in delivering timely interventions. Dr. Michalis Papadakis, CEO and Co-Founder of Brainomix, expressed optimism about the technology’s impact. He noted, “Brainomix is helping clinicians every day improve the level of care they can deliver to stroke patients in the UK and worldwide. We are delighted to see a focus on the unique and powerful impact that our technology is having on patient outcomes, validated by an expanding base of published, real-world evidence.”
The success of Brainomix extends beyond the UK, as the technology has been widely adopted across Europe and validated by several leading stroke institutions in the United States. The company has established itself as a key player in the AI healthcare sector, having developed its technology from concept to market launch. It has also formed successful partnerships with NHS England and The Health Innovation Network.
As the demand for innovative healthcare solutions grows, Brainomix continues to lead the way in integrating AI into stroke care, demonstrating a commitment to improving patient outcomes through cutting-edge technology. The evidence supporting the efficacy of Brainomix 360 Stroke is a significant step forward in the fight against the debilitating effects of stroke, offering hope to millions of patients worldwide.
