Budućnost Bemaks Dominates Primorje in Season Opener

The women’s basketball team Budućnost Bemaks opened their local season with a commanding victory against Primorje, winning 125-61 at the Bemaks arena in Podgorica. The match, attended by approximately 50 spectators, showcased the team’s dominance, with a performance that felt more like a training session than a competitive game.
Budućnost seized control early, outscoring Primorje in every quarter. The home team built a substantial lead, finishing the first quarter at 26-11, and further extending it to 33-18 by halftime. The third quarter was particularly striking, as Budućnost unleashed a series of impressive plays, going on a 25-5 run that pushed the score to 84-34. By the end of the third quarter, they had hit the century mark at 100-42.
American players were pivotal in the victory for Budućnost, with Daria Vagner contributing 28 points and Jasmine Dasanti adding 24. Their combined performance accounted for a significant portion of the team’s scoring. Despite the efforts of Primorje, particularly from Vagner, who scored 28 points, the team struggled to keep pace with Budućnost’s relentless offense.
As the game progressed, Budućnost maintained their momentum, concluding the match with a comfortable lead. The final quarter saw the team cruise to victory, reinforcing their status as one of the top contenders in the league.
Podgorica’s Victory Over Antivari
In another match held the same day, the Podgorica women’s basketball team also demonstrated their prowess, defeating Antivari 81-57. The game, also at the Bemaks arena, featured a strong start from Podgorica, who scored the first 10 points of the game and quickly established a commanding lead at 24-5 eight minutes in.
Podgorica’s performance was marked by balanced scoring, with Bakovic leading the team with 16 points, while Radulovic contributed 14. The home team consistently outperformed their opponents, maintaining an advantage that left little doubt about the outcome.
Antivari’s struggle was evident throughout the match, with Šekularac being the standout performer for the visitors, scoring 16 points. Despite their efforts, Antivari could not match the intensity and skill exhibited by Podgorica.
Both teams are preparing for upcoming challenges in the WABA2 league, and these early victories set a positive tone for their respective campaigns. Budućnost and Podgorica have shown they are ready to compete at a high level, and fans can expect exciting performances as the season unfolds.
